Drivers face a hefty penalty for blasting music
Blasting loud music while driving isn’t going to get you angry glares anymore, you will incur fines and black points.
Motorists that play loud music, without taking into consideration the needs of others will be charged a fine of AED400 and four black points as per the Federal Traffic Law.
UAE drivers were cautioned against using the vehicle in a manner that disrupts others, and police urged residents to report any such types of incidents to the police hotline.
The awareness message was made to ensure that people living in residential areas are not affected by loud disruptions in the middle of the night, in addition to safeguarding peace among residents.
