Umm Al Quwain Announces Winter Camping Permits for 2026–27

Umm Al Quwain Municipality has announced the dates for applications for temporary winter camping permits for the 2026–27 season. Applications will open on October 19 and remain available until October 30, with campsites available in the Al Aqran and Al Thaniya areas. The winter camping season will officially begin on November 1, with permits available for periods ranging from three to six months.

There are several conditions for applicants. Permits are restricted to holders of passports issued by Umm Al Quwain, while camps must be used for private, temporary purposes by the permit holder. Renting out the allocated space or using it for commercial purposes is prohibited. Applicants must also pay the required fees and security deposit within three days of approval or their application will be cancelled.

Campers must stay within their allocated plots, keep their sites clean and follow Civil Defence fire and safety requirements. Reckless driving, floodlights, loudspeakers and drones are also prohibited in the camping areas. Anyone breaching the regulations could face penalties, cancellation of their permit and confiscation of their security deposit.
