A new pedestrian bridge has opened in Dubai, giving passengers a direct connection between Etihad Rail’s Al Yalayis Station and Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station on the Dubai Metro Red Line. The link means passengers can now transfer between the two networks without needing a taxi or road journey.
The enclosed bridge is around 400 metres long and takes approximately five to seven minutes to walk. It features escalators and moving walkways, making the transfer easier for passengers carrying luggage. A shuttle bus service between the stations remains available for those who would rather not walk.
The new connection makes it easier for passengers arriving in Dubai by Etihad Rail to continue their journeys around the city using the Metro. The Al Yalayis station, which opened on September 30, provides rail connections to destinations including Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, while the Metro link gives passengers access to areas across Dubai without needing a private car.
