Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed was briefed on a call with the Australian Prime Minister.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces tweeted on Tuesday in support of the efforts being taken to manage the effects of the bushfires in Australia.

According to official figures, the catastrophic bushfires have turned swatches of Australia into smouldering, blackened hellscapes and destroyed an area about the size of the island of Ireland.

The UAE’s readiness to provide the necessary expertise, equipment, manpower and any other forms of support to help fight bush fires and rebuild all the damage that has been caused.

The bushfires have left 25 people dead and nearly half a billion animals dead in one state alone.

During the phone call with Morrison and Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation and intensifying regional and international efforts to promote security, stability and peace in the region and greater world.
