The UAE has confirmed a change to the national emergency alert system across the country. Over the past few days, phone alerts and updates have been sent to residents and visitors to provide the latest safety guidance.
According to National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, the National Early Warning System sound alerts will now vary depending on the time of day.
From 9:00 AM to 10:30 PM, the alert will sound with its current high-tone warning, followed by a standard text message tone to signal the end of the alert.
From 10:30 PM to 9:00 AM, the alert will begin and end with a standard text message tone.
Authorities confirmed that the system will remain fully operational at all times to ensure public safety. The public is also urged to follow official instructions whenever an alert is issued.
