Olivia Rodrigo has officially confirmed that Chappell Roan will feature on a new remix of ‘expectations’, taken from Olivia’s third album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love. Olivia revealed the news on social media, announcing that both the song and its accompanying music video are on the way.

Rumours of the collaboration began earlier this week after a teaser appeared online showing a music production session, accompanied by a voice that sounded very much like Chappell saying, “Olivia does remixes now.” Fans quickly put the clues together, with the remix subsequently confirmed by Olivia. The track is particularly exciting as it marks Chappell Roan’s first-ever feature on another artist’s song.
The two singers already have a musical connection, having worked with producer and songwriter Daniel Nigro, who also produced the new remix. Chappell has previously contributed backing vocals to some of Olivia’s music, while the pair have also performed together. The remix is due to arrive on Thursday 15 October, with the music video releasing at the same time, giving fans plenty to look forward to.
