Ras Al Khaimah welcomed the new year with a spectacular New Year’s Eve celebration that blended cutting-edge drone technology, vibrant pyrotechnics and community-wide festivities. As crowds gathered along the emirate’s waterfront and public festival zones from the late afternoon, the atmosphere was filled with live music, food stalls and family-friendly gatherings before the night’s main event. Just after midnight, a 15-minute drone show featuring 2,300 drones, including 1,000 pyro drones, lit up the sky with dynamic formations, most notably a giant phoenix symbolizing renewal and optimism, earning the emirate a Guinness World Record title for the largest aerial phoenix display of its kind.

Following the drone performance, a six-kilometre long fireworks display stretched along the coastline from Marjan Island to Al Hamra, with hundreds of fireworks launched in synchronized waves that illuminated the shoreline in a choreographed burst of colour and sound. Thousands of residents and visitors watched the spectacle from beachfront resorts and public viewing areas, reinforcing Ras Al Khaimah’s growing reputation as a must-visit destination for world-class New Year’s celebrations. An earlier fireworks display at Corniche Al Qawasim earlier in the evening extended the festivities, offering even more opportunities for families and locals to join in the celebrations.
