Dubai launches new AI platform to help parents guide their children

Dubai has launched GenDubAI, a new digital platform designed to help parents understand how children are using artificial intelligence and guide them towards using it safely, responsibly and creatively. Developed by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence in partnership with the Community Development Authority and Dubai Future Foundation, the platform is aimed at families with children aged around 8 to 15. It is available in both Arabic and English and is designed to be easily accessed on mobile devices.

The platform provides practical and interactive content to help parents learn about AI alongside their children. It covers the basics of AI, its opportunities and challenges, and ways children can use the technology to develop creativity and critical-thinking skills. GenDubAI also focuses on protecting children’s privacy and intellectual development, while ensuring its guidance reflects UAE values and cultural identity.

Officials say the initiative is designed to make AI a shared family learning experience rather than something children explore without guidance. GenDubAI supports Dubai’s wider Social Agenda 33 and the UAE’s Year of the Family, with plans for the platform to continue evolving as AI technology and children’s needs change.
