Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has arrived in Dubai just in time for what’s shaping up to be one of the city’s biggest New Year’s Eve celebrations yet, adding celebrity sparkle to the festivities as Downtown Dubai gears up for a record-breaking week of events. Emaar has expanded the traditional New Year’s celebration into an eight-day festival running from December 31, 2025 through January 7, 2026, featuring art installations, live entertainment, tech-driven displays and nightly shows across the district, with activities designed for both those attending in person and audiences watching via livestream. The extended schedule aims to build on Dubai’s past success, when around 1.7 million visitors came for the festivities and billions tuned in online, and promises a vibrant, hybrid celebration that extends beyond just the midnight countdown.

A central highlight of the celebration will be a ticketed Bollywood-themed event at Burj Park, offering live performances, parades and festival-style experiences against the towering backdrop of the Burj Khalifa. In addition to the Burj Park experience, a grand parade featuring large floats, illuminated figures and performers will move through Downtown Dubai, and organisers promise choreographed lighting, drone formations and animations each night, setting the stage for an unforgettable New Year’s celebration infused with Bollywood energy and spectacle.
