On the occasion of the 54th to Eid Al Etihad, many UAE residents are transforming their cars into colourful tributes, spending anywhere from as little as Dh 100 for basic decals to more than Dh 3,000 for elaborate custom designs. Customization shops across the country are reportedly busier than ever, with demand for everything from simple flag stickers to full themed decorations.

The trend shows a shift toward more elegant, thoughtful designs rather than overly flashy modifications. Some vehicle owners even personalize their cars using images of national leaders or unique artistic concepts, turning the decorations into expressions of patriotism and personal identity. Still, such celebrations are framed within legal limits: authorities stress that only approved National Day decorations, like the UAE flag or official stickers are permitted, and any modifications must not obstruct visibility, hide license plates, or impede traffic safety.
