UAE leaders have marked the 50th anniversary of the Armed Forces’ unification, describing it as a defining milestone that has strengthened the nation’s security, unity and stability over the past five decades. President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other senior officials paid tribute to the dedication and sacrifices of military personnel, highlighting their role in safeguarding the country and maintaining its progress.
The unification of the Armed Forces is widely seen as a cornerstone in building the modern UAE, creating an integrated defence system based on efficiency, readiness and resilience. Leaders emphasised that the military continues to play a critical role not only in protecting sovereignty but also in supporting humanitarian missions and contributing to regional and global stability.
