Abu Dhabi Police have issued a fresh warning to motorists about the dangers of distracted driving and unsafe road entry, sharing video footage of real accidents caused by inattention. The clips highlight how failing to check for oncoming traffic or losing focus, even briefly, can quickly lead to serious collisions, as part of a wider road safety awareness campaign.

Authorities are urging drivers to stay fully alert, avoid distractions, and ensure roads are clear before merging. Violations carry strict penalties: entering a road unsafely results in a Dh400 fine and four black points, while any form of distracted driving—such as using a phone—can lead to a Dh800 fine and four black points.
