The UAE’s workforce grew by 12.4 percent in 2025, up from 10.9 percent in 2024, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), reflecting strong momentum in the job market. This increase was supported by a 7.8 percent rise in private-sector companies, indicating a surge in new business activity and investor confidence. The data also shows that young workers, those aged 18 to 35, made up over half of the labour market, while women held significant roles: 17.4 percent of leadership positions and nearly half of the total female workforce as skilled professionals.

Officials attribute the robust growth to pro-business policies, strong infrastructure, and initiatives that attract both local and global talent, helping the UAE maintain its reputation as a competitive destination for living, working, and investment. The results also highlight continued efforts to expand opportunities for Emiratis within the private sector and support economic diversification, strengthening the country’s labour market as it adapts to future challenges and development goals.
