The 30km line is expected to serve around one million residents across key districts, improving connectivity and easing congestion as part of Dubai’s wider urban development strategy. It will link with existing Red and Green Metro lines and form a key part of long-term plans to enhance mobility and support population growth.
Sheikh Mohammed highlighted that the Blue Line is one of several transformative projects shaping the emirate’s future, alongside the new airport, advanced transport systems, and AI-driven infrastructure.
