Ariana Grande has announced that she will take a break from public life once her Eternal Sunshine Tour concludes in September, with her team saying the decision comes after enduring "endless, ongoing public scrutiny." A representative confirmed that the singer is looking forward to finishing the tour "healthily and happily" before taking a well-earned break from public-facing work and appearances.

As part of the decision, Grande has also withdrawn from the upcoming West End revival of Sunday in the Park with George, in which she had been due to star alongside her Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey. While the production will continue with a replacement to be announced, Grande's team stressed that she has loved every moment of the tour and remains incredibly grateful for the support of her fans.

The announcement follows increased public discussion surrounding Grande's appearance after the release of her new album Petal and its title track video.
