Motorists using Abu Dhabi’s E311, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Street, will face a lower speed limit from today, September 14. The maximum permitted speed in both directions has been reduced from 120kmph to 100kmph on a section of the highway stretching between Al Shamkhah and Madinat Al Riyad, near Baniyas Cemetery.
The affected stretch runs between the At Turoush Street/Tawi Al Qaymah Street junctions and the Al Khayr Street interchange, covering traffic travelling towards both Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The latest change is part of a series of speed-limit reductions introduced by Abu Dhabi authorities in recent years, aimed at improving road safety.
