Olivia Rodrigo is getting into the festive spirit, announcing the release of her first-ever Christmas song, titled take me home (4 christmas). The 23-year-old singer revealed the news on social media, with the track set to be released today, alongside an accompanying music video.

The song was co-written by Rodrigo alongside her regular collaborators Dan Nigro and Amy Allen, with Nigro also producing the track. The music video will feature some familiar faces, including Cynthia Nixon, best known for her role in Sex and the City, and Ben Marshall from Saturday Night Live.

The release comes during a busy year for Rodrigo, who has recently released her third studio album and is currently on her sold-out world tour. The new festive single could also see her entering the race for this year’s Christmas Number One, potentially giving established Christmas pop favourites some competition.
