New Music Friday: Victoria Monét, Holly Humberstone, Martin Garrix & More

Friday has arrived, which can only mean one thing: it’s time to load up the Channel 4 New Music playlist. First up, Victoria Monét teams up with SZA for “See You In My Dreams”, taken from Monét’s brand-new album Frequency Of Love. It’s another big collaboration for the Grammy-winning singer, who has been building serious momentum since the success of her JAGUAR II era. With SZA joining her on the dreamy new track, this one feels like a pretty strong reason to press play.

Holly Humberstone is bringing a very different kind of energy with “Too Cute To Be Lonely”. The new track is described as a euphoric, dancefloor-leaning alt-pop song, with Holly drawing inspiration from pop royalty including ABBA, Madonna and Robyn. It’s also the first taste of her upcoming deluxe album Cruel World…So It Ends, which will feature five brand-new tracks. Basically, Holly has taken her trademark emotional songwriting and given it a little more sparkle.

Then there’s Martin Garrix with “This Dream of You”, a brand-new release which landed today. The Dutch superstar has already had a busy 2026, with collaborations including U2 on “Fireflies”, Ed Sheeran on “Repeat It” and Madonna on “Bizarre”, but this time he’s going it alone. At four minutes long, it’s another fresh addition to Garrix’s ever-growing collection of dance tracks.

And finally, things get properly dancefloor-ready with D.O.D and Armand Van Helden joining forces on “Twice As Nice”, featuring Sam Harper. It’s a meeting of two generations of house, with the track described as a bassline-driven club banger packed with groove and some classic Armand Van Helden attitude. So whatever you’re up to 104.8 Channel 4 is making Friday feel a little more Friday-ish!
