British artist PinkPantheress has been named the Producer of the Year at the 2026 BRIT Awards, marking a historic moment in the event’s nearly 50-year history. At just 24 years old, she not only becomes the youngest artist to receive this honour but also the first woman ever to win the award, which recognises excellence in music production. The accolade comes after a standout year for her, including the release of her mixtape Fancy That and remix project Fancy Some More?, as well as two Grammy Award nominations. Stacey Tang, chair of the BRIT Awards Committee, praised her innovative and boundary-pushing approach to pop production, saying she’s helping reshape the modern music landscape and open doors for more female producers.

Beyond the historic win, PinkPantheress is also in contention for Artist of the Year and Best Dance Act at the ceremony, which will be held at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena later this month. Her work, from viral singles like Stateside and Illegal to her broader influence on UK pop and dance music, has earned widespread acclaim, and her achievement at the BRITs is seen as a milestone moment for representation behind the scenes in music production.
