The UAE is entering a noticeable drop in temperature this month as the arrival of winter gets underway. According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), temperatures are expected to fall by roughly six degrees Celsius compared with November, especially across inland and mountainous areas. This chill comes with the arrival of cooler air masses from the north, bringing colder nights, increased humidity, and ideal conditions for early-morning fog and mist.

At the same time, the skies may grow cloudier and there is a chance of light rain, especially overnight or in the early hours. The shift marks a clear transition from the tail end of autumn to the beginning of winter. Residents should expect cooler, damper mornings and more comfortable outdoor evenings as the season changes.
