She admitted she initially had doubts about the song, feeling it sounded a bit different and wasn’t sure if it fully represented the overall direction of her album The Art of Loving.
However, her perspective changed during rehearsals with her band, where the track began to click and feel more powerful. Dean ultimately decided to release it, and the decision paid off, with the song becoming a major success, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topping multiple radio charts. She also hinted that there are many unreleased songs from the album sessions that fans might hear in the future.
