Sharjah Ruler His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi has announced a series of road projects worth Dh750 million aimed at improving connectivity between Sharjah and Dubai and easing traffic congestion for commuters. The developments include a new dual-carriageway tunnel beneath Al Taawun Roundabout that will extend towards Dubai’s Al Nahda Bridge, helping to reduce pressure on one of the busiest routes between the two emirates.

The package also includes the new Al Noor Road, which will run from Al Orooba Street into Dubai and is expected to open by the end of the year. The projects will provide easier access to major roads including Emirates Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, while new signposts will guide drivers directly to Expo Centre Sharjah and its parking facilities.
