Disney+ is developing a new live-action series centered on the iconic fairy Tinker Bell, titled Tink. The drama project is being written and executive produced by Friday Night Lights veterans Liz Heldens and Bridget Carpenter, with 20th Television producing and former Disney Branded Television president Gary Marsh also attached as a producer. The show has reportedly been marked as a high-priority project for the streaming platform, though casting and a release date have not yet been announced.
The project has had a long journey through development, first beginning in 2010 as a planned feature film starring Elizabeth Banks before evolving into another movie version with Reese Witherspoon attached in 2015, both of which ultimately stalled.
