The new Al Nasr Mosque in Sharjah, has officially opened in time for Ramadan 2026, bringing a striking modern landmark to the historic Oud Metha area. Departing from traditional stone domes, the mosque’s centerpiece is a large spherical glass dome made of hexagonal panels that rise nearly 16 metres and span 20 metres across, flooding the prayer hall with natural light and creating an uplifting spiritual atmosphere. Accompanied by a 38-metre minaret with flowing lines, the design blends contemporary architecture with cultural symbolism, intended to serve over 1,300 worshippers for daily prayers and community gatherings.

Al Nasr Mosque is designed as a community hub with facilities including a large prayer hall, separate women’s prayer area, ablution spaces, library, and ample parking. The mosque’s open and light-filled interiors, modern mimbar, and thoughtful layout aim to offer both serenity and functionality during Ramadan and throughout the year. Its inauguration reflects broader efforts across the UAE to enhance religious spaces and support vibrant community engagement during the holy month.
