Leonardo DiCaprio just dropped a revelation that has fans of Titanic doing a double take.
During a recent Actors on Actors conversation hosted by Variety and CNN, the Oscar winner admitted that he hasn’t revisited the 1997 blockbuster that made him a global superstar. When co-star Jennifer Lawrence casually asked if he ever rewatched Titanic, DiCaprio didn’t hesitate with his response.“No, I haven’t seen it in forever,” the 51-year-old actor said.
Lawrence, 35, was visibly surprised and immediately pushed back, encouraging him to give the film another chance.“Oh, you should. I bet you could watch it as a movie now – it’s so good!” she told him.
Despite the film’s enduring legacy and its status as one of the highest-grossing movies of all time, DiCaprio explained that revisiting his own work isn’t something he typically does.“I don’t really watch my films,” he admitted, before adding that he has seen “some” of them over the years.

Titanic, directed by James Cameron, remains a cultural phenomenon nearly three decades after its release, earning 11 Academy Awards and cementing DiCaprio’s status as a Hollywood icon. While fans around the world continue to rewatch Jack and Rose’s tragic love story, it seems the film’s leading man has left that voyage firmly in the past.Still, Lawrence’s suggestion may have struck a chord, and fans can’t help but hope DiCaprio might one day sit down and relive the cinematic moment that defined a generation.
