On Saturday, December 13, 2025, Mleiha National Park will open its desert skies for a special stargazing event as the Geminids Meteor Shower peaks. With almost no moonlight and minimal nearby light pollution, the desert location offers ideal conditions, experts say attendees could see as many as 100 meteors per hour under the clear, dark skies. The night will also feature guided telescope sessions for planet and star viewing, allowing visitors to spot celestial bodies like Saturn, Jupiter, and constellations alongside the meteor streaks.

The gathering begins at 6 PM, with the first stargazing starting soon after sunset. Guests will enjoy a relaxed evening of sky-watching, with the meteor shower observation scheduled to begin around 9:30 PM. Organisers highlight that even the naked eye, without a telescope, may catch bright meteor trails thanks to the dark desert backdrop.
