The announcement came through Taylor Nation on Instagram, confirming that “The Fate of Ophelia (The Chainsmokers Remix)” is now available on iTunes and Amazon Music.
The Chainsmokers celebrated the release directly in the comments, writing, “This is truly an honor. we love u T,” a message that immediately drew excitement from fans who did not expect this crossover.
The original “The Fate of Ophelia” appears as the lead track on Swift’s twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. It has held a steady presence on the Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks and continues to be one of the standout songs of the era. Its cinematic, Shakespeare influenced music video premiered last month during The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, which screened in theaters from October 3 to October 5.
