Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet tour took an unforgettable turn in New York on Sunday (October 26), when the pop star “arrested” none other than Anne Hathaway during her playful onstage bit.
The “Manchild” singer has made a tradition of “arresting” fans at her shows for being “too hot” – but this time, the lucky concert-goer turned out to be a Hollywood icon. When Hathaway appeared on the big screen, the audience erupted into screams and cheers.
“Has anyone ever told you you look like a princess?” Carpenter teased, prompting Hathaway to smile and make a heart with her hands as the crowd roared. “I’m in the presence of a princess — I’m getting so flustered!”
Keeping with the bit, Carpenter handed Hathaway a pair of fuzzy pink handcuffs, officially “arresting” her for “being the most perfect princess in the world” before launching into her song “Juno.”
Hathaway joins a growing list of celebrities who’ve been “arrested” at Carpenter’s concerts. Just last week, Gigi Hadid was playfully detained and later shared a photo of the moment on Instagram, joking that she was “guilty as charged.”
