Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime show has made history at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, winning seven awards, the most ever collected by a Super Bowl halftime performance. The Puerto Rican superstar also picked up his first-ever Emmy, with the show winning Outstanding Variety Special (Live).
The performance also won awards for music direction, choreography, sound mixing, lighting design, technical direction and camerawork, and directing. It became only the second Super Bowl halftime show to win the Outstanding Variety Special (Live) award, following Kendrick Lamar’s performance the previous year. Jay-Z, who was an executive producer on the show, also collected his third Emmy.
Elsewhere at the ceremony, Sabrina Carpenter won her first Emmy as a performer and executive producer on Disney+’s The Muppet Show reboot, beating Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour | The Final Show. Other major winners included The Traitors, which took home six awards, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, which won five for its final season.
