If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to pull out a light jacket or enjoy cooler evenings outdoors, the UAE’s weather is about to deliver a change of pace.
The coming days will bring fluctuating conditions across the country, with cooler temperatures, misty mornings and gusty winds making an appearance, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
A mix of pressure systems is currently influencing the region, setting the stage for fair to partly cloudy skies during the day, followed by rising humidity at night. This means residents in some western areas could wake up to early-morning mist, adding a hazy touch to the start of the day.
By Thursday, temperatures are expected to dip further, especially in western parts of the country. There’s also a chance of light rain along some coastal and northern areas – a welcome surprise for those hoping for a brief break from dry conditions. Winds will begin to pick up, particularly over the sea, where rougher conditions and reduced visibility may come into play.
The real shift arrives heading into Friday and Saturday, as stronger north-westerly winds sweep across the UAE. Expect cooler air, dusty scenes in exposed areas and choppier seas, making it a stay-cozy weekend for many.
By Sunday, conditions are forecast to calm down, with humidity creeping back overnight and another chance of mist forming inland, perfect weather for slow mornings and relaxed plans.
Whether you’re heading out, staying in or just enjoying the change, the UAE’s winter vibes are officially making themselves felt.
