This year, all public viewing areas around Downtown Dubai, except for the ticketed Burj Park, will offer free access to the New Year’s Eve fireworks, light-and-laser show at Burj Khalifa. That means you don’t need a ticket or badge to watch, but you should arrive early (before about 4 PM) because entry is on a first-come, first-served basis and gates will close once each zone is full.
LED screens will be set up along the boulevard for people further away to still catch the show. For those who want a front-row view, with slightly less crowd hassle, Burj Park remains the paid option, with ticketed entry, live entertainment, and dedicated facilities.
