Netflix’s upcoming Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man movie has revealed that Barry Keoghan will portray Duke Shelby, the adult son of Cillian Murphy’s Tommy Shelby, marking a significant change for the franchise going into its feature-length continuation. In the first full trailer, Duke is shown already leading the Peaky Blinders gang in Birmingham while Tommy remains in exile, setting up a personal father-son conflict that reshapes the narrative direction of the story and adds new emotional stakes to Tommy’s return.

The film jumps ahead to 1940 against the backdrop of World War II, expanding the Peaky Blinders universe beyond the events of Season 6 and bringing back core characters such as Ada, Charlie Strong, and Johnny Dogs alongside new additions including Rebecca Ferguson and Tim Roth. With Tommy drawn back into danger as old enemies re-emerge and new forces rise, Duke’s upbringing outside the Shelby power structure and his leadership role are expected to be key elements of the plot.
