JUNIOR RJ HUNT 2026

o    Participation is open to children aged 8 to 14 years who are residents of the UAE.

o    As participants are minors, registration and participation must be completed with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian aged 21 years or above.

o    Participants may be required to provide valid proof of age, identity and UAE residency at any stage of the campaign.

o    Employees, directors, management and contractors of Channel 4 Radio Network, participating sponsors, prize providers and agencies directly associated with the promotion, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate.

o    No proxy participation or participation under a false name or identity is permitted.

o    Channel 4 Radio Network reserves the right to disqualify any participant if the eligibility requirements are not met or if any information submitted during registration is found to be inaccurate.

o    The Junior RJ Hunt campaign will commence on 17th Aug 2026 and conclude with the Grand Finale on Sunday, 6th Sept 2026, at Al Ghurair Centre. Channel 4 Radio Network reserves the right to change the campaign dates, schedule, or Grand Finale venue if required. Any such changes will be communicated on-air, through the participating stations’ social media channels, and on their respective websites.

o    Participants must submit a short RJ-style video of under 1 minute as part of the registration process.

o    The video should include the participant's name, age and school grade, followed by their take on the topic announced by the RJs.

o    A new topic will be announced every day throughout the registration period.

o    Only entries received within the announced registration period will be considered.

o    Submission of a video does not guarantee selection or progression to the next stage of the Junior RJ Hunt.

o    Channel 4 Radio Network reserves the right to reject entries that are incomplete, inappropriate, offensive, misleading, technically unusable or do not follow the announced participation requirements.

o    The parent or legal guardian also grants Channel 4 Radio Network permission to use, reproduce, edit, publish and broadcast the participant's submitted video, audio, photograph, name and campaign-related content for the purpose of promoting, documenting and publicising the Junior RJ Hunt across radio, websites, social media and other Channel 4 Radio Network platforms.

o    This consent also applies to photographs, audio recordings and video footage captured during auditions, studio visits, selection rounds, promotional activities and the Grand Finale.

o    Submitted content may be edited for duration, format or presentation before being broadcast or published.

o    Participation in the campaign constitutes acknowledgement by the parent or legal guardian that selected content may be publicly accessible through radio, social media and digital platforms as part of the campaign.

o    Channel 4 Radio Network will not use submitted participant content for purposes unrelated to the Junior RJ Hunt or its associated campaign promotion without appropriate consent.

o    Participants may be evaluated on criteria including communication skills, confidence, clarity of speech, creativity, spontaneity, voice modulation, presence of mind and overall RJ potential.

o    Shortlisted participants may be required to participate in additional audition, recording or selection rounds.

o    The selection of the Best 10 participants will be determined by Channel 4 Radio Network based on the performance and assessment criteria of the campaign.

o    Decisions made by Channel 4 Radio Network and its appointed judging/programming team regarding shortlisting and selection will be final.

o    The voting process, platform, timeline, and other relevant mechanics will be communicated on-air and through the participating station’s social media platforms.

o    Voting will take place only during the officially announced voting period.

o    The Top 10 participants may be required to record promotional content and voting appeals for broadcast on radio, social media and other campaign platforms.

o    Based on the final valid vote count, the Top 5 finalists will be announced by the participating station.

o    Channel 4 Radio Network reserves the right to disregard votes suspected of manipulation, technical abuse, fraudulent activity or any attempt to unfairly influence the voting process.

o    A parent or legal guardian must accompany the child during the Grand Finale and any other physical campaign activity where required by Channel 4 Radio Network.

o    Finalists will participate in a series of live RJ challenges that may test communication skills, confidence, creativity, spontaneity, audience interaction and overall on-air personality.

o    Finale venue, event activity challenges and formats may be changed or adapted by Channel 4 Radio Network based on programming and event requirements.

o    The final winner will be selected by the appointed RJs/judges based on the participant's overall performance during the Grand Finale.

o    The decision of the judges and Channel 4 Radio Network will be final.

o    The winner will receive the opportunity to host a recorded one-hour weekend radio show on the participating station for a period of two months, or as otherwise specified by Channel 4 Radio Network, alongside the mentor/co-host RJ(s).

o    The winner will receive remuneration of AED 1,250 per show for the duration of their on-air show contract.

o    The winner will also receive an Honorary Junior RJ Certificate from Channel 4 Radio Network and applicable winner prizes.

o    Finalists may receive certificates of participation and consolation prizes, subject to the final campaign and sponsor arrangements.

o    Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or substituted by the winner unless otherwise determined by the Promoter/prize provider.

o    The winner and their parent/legal guardian must be available for recordings, promotional appearances and other reasonable campaign-related requirements associated with the Junior RJ winner's show.

o    If a selected finalist or winner is unavailable, becomes ineligible, fails to obtain parental/guardian consent or is unable to fulfil the campaign requirements, Channel 4 Radio Network reserves the right to select another participant at its discretion.

o    Final duration and schedule of the Junior RJ Winner's Weekend Show will be as confirmed by Channel 4 Radio Network.

o    Channel 4 Radio Network reserves the right to amend the competition mechanics, schedule, selection process, voting period, Grand Finale format or other campaign elements when reasonably required.

o    Participants and their parents/legal guardians must be available to be contacted by Channel 4 Radio Network via the contact details provided during registration.

o    If a shortlisted participant cannot be contacted within the required timeframe, Channel 4 Radio Network reserves the right to select another participant.

o    Channel 4 Radio Network reserves the right to disqualify a participant at any stage if they breach these Terms & Conditions or the announced competition mechanics.

o    The decisions of Channel 4 Radio Network regarding eligibility, selection, voting, judging and winners are final.

o    Standard Channel 4 Radio Network competition Terms & Conditions also apply.

o    Channel 4 Radio Network will not be responsible for incorrect or incomplete information provided by participants or their parents/legal guardians.

o    The Promoter reserves the right to postpone, modify, suspend or cancel any stage of the campaign or Grand Finale due to circumstances outside its reasonable control.

o    The parent or legal guardian confirms that they are authorised to provide the requested information relating to themselves and the participating child.

o    By participating, the parent or legal guardian acknowledges and agrees that Channel 4 Radio Network may collect, store and use the information provided for the administration and operation of the Junior RJ Hunt.

o    This may include contacting participants, verifying eligibility, managing registrations, selection rounds, audience voting, the Grand Finale and winner-related activities.

o    Participant information and submitted campaign content may also be used for campaign-related promotional and publicity purposes across Channel 4 Radio Network and participating station platforms, in accordance with the consent provided under these Terms & Conditions.

o    Where the parent/legal guardian has separately provided the required marketing consent, relevant contact information may also be used by Channel 4 Radio Network and/or the participating radio station for future marketing and promotional communications.

o    Channel 4 Radio Network reserve the right to request additional information at any time as we deem reasonably necessary to ensure that you are not using the Site or participating in a Competition in violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
