Wind tests have begun on Dubai's 900m Dubai Creek Harbour Tower!
Super tall buildings have all had to test how well they do in the wind. It's a famous rumour that while you're at the top of the Burj Khalifa on a windy day you can feel it sway.
Maybe you can, we doubt it though. But this is what the wind tests are for.
Emaar Properties announced that they began the wind tests for The Tower, Dubai's newest structure at Dubai Creek Harbour, that will be 100 meters taller than the Burj Khalifa once it's completed, making it top out at over 900 meters.
In a statement the property developers said: "to guarantee the maximum safety and stability of the building. The design of The Tower also includes multiple damper systems and shock absorption systems, located at different points and heights." The shock absorption systems will ensure that if strong winds do hit, the systems will keep the structure steady.
Construction on the structure is expected to begin in October of this year, with a completion date of 2020 in mind.
