The world's longest zip line is coming to the UAE!

Earlier this week it was announced that Jebal Jais is 10°C cooler than Dubai, making summer just that little bit easier. Which makes this news amazing!

It's time for adrenaline junkies to make their way to Ras Al Khaimah, as officials announce the opening of the world's longest zip line at the top of Jebal Jais, protected climbing routes and lots more!

Speaking to Emirates 24/7, the CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, Haitham Mattar said: "We have decided as a tourism authority to adopt three sites on the mountain. The first site will open by end of April and will be via ferrata with a zip line included. But we will have another zip line which will be 2.6 kilometres, making it the longest in the world"

Currently, South Africa has the world's longest zip line, called Zip 2000. You can reach an average speed of 120kph.

Along with the Zip Lines and protected climbing routes, there will be a viewing deck with picnic areas. The height of the viewing deck hasn't been announced yet. If it is at the top of Jebal Jais, it could be 1,910m high, with the temperature dropping to a very cool -3°C in the winter.
