UAE in three day mourning period
The President, HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has mourned the death of Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who passed away Saturday morning.
A three-day official mourning period has been announced following the death of Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Flags will be flown at half mast and radio stations, including 104.8 Channel 4, will remain off air.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, led worshippers in performing Maghreb and funeral prayers over the body of Shaikh Rashid Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, at Zabeel Mosque. Shaikh Rashid was laid to rest at Umm Hurair cemetery.
Sheikh Rashid died of a heart attack at the age of 34.
“We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return,” the Dubai Ruler Court said as it mourned Shaikh Rashid’s death on Saturday.
