Dh5000 in car fines? You car could get impounded!
This week introduced a new for motorists in the UAE. Cars that have racked up more than Dh5,000 in fines risk having their cars tracked down and confiscated.
The deputy director of the traffic department at Dubai Police stated that patrol vehicles are making it their first priority to be on the lookout for cars with outstanding fines, and to impound them.
If you have this amount in outstanding fines, expect your number plate to be on a new database that keeps track of what cars need to be confiscated.
Cars will be seized until the fines are paid.
