Could cyclone Chapala make it's way to the UAE?

Socotra, an Island in Yemen was hit on Sunday by strong wind and rain, resulting in damage to dozens of homes, but will cyclone Chapala come close to the UAE?

Cyclone Chapala is expected to hit the mainland of Yemen and Oman today, resulting in thousands of families evacuating their homes and finding shelter from the strong winds, rain and hailstorms in schools or camps.

The wind speed of Chapala is the equivalent to the category 4 Hurricane Joaquin that hit the Bahamas in October of this year.

The hurricane is unlikely to hit the UAE according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology, though it will generate clouds around the south of the UAE.
