Be aware of the road closures in Dubai this weekend!

On Friday, 22nd January The Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon 2016 will be taking place, and there will be road closures, so know where you can and can't drive this weekend. 

The marathon will be taking place on Friday morning, followed by a 10km road race that kids 15 and older can get involved in, there will also be a 4km fun run available for all ages to get involved in.

Both the marathon, and 10km will start on Umm Suqeim road on the Madinat Jumeirah side. The fun run will start on Al Wasl Road, on the Dubai Creek side, finish points for the fun run and all other races will be at the Dubai Police Academy.

The Marathon will begin at 6:30am, the 10km will being at 9am and the fun run will begin at 11am, people interested in watching the race are urged to arrived 1 hour before the races start times. 

Jumeirah Beach Road, Al Sufouh Road, Madinat Jumeirah and Police Academy area will all be off limits to cars, it is urged that spectators park in Al Barsha or Mall of the Emirates and walk from there.
