UAE weather experts are making more rain!

On Thursday, The National Center of Meteorology & Seismology went into the skies and seeded the clouds that had blanketed the city. Cloud seeding, is a form of weather modification, where crystals are dropped into clouds to cause rain.

Cloud seeding is used a lot during the winter months in the UAE, as there are more clouds in the sky, and will save the city water to keep greenery alive. This means that when their are a lot of clouds covering the UAE's skies, the likelihood is that they will burst, and we'll get another gloomy day!

Ali Al Musallam, Head of the Cloud Seeding Operations Section at the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said "We are trying to reach the best procedure to enhance the amount of rainfall, to recharge underground water and increase rain collected in dams,"
