Rob Kaye.. Well What do you want to know? He’s a lover of Travel Music and the Media and has been on the Radio since the age of 13. After getting tired of the constant rain, moaning, fish and chips and *add your our British stereotype here* he grabbed his backpack and caught the first plane out of town. After Rocking out in Rotterdam, partying in Ko Pang yang and getting active with some Aussies he finally touched down in Cairo where he fell in love with the Middle East. He moved to the UAE 4 years ago and shortly after met his Wife, they now live in Dubai with their Daughter Emma.

We know you have many questions about Rob so we asked he wife to answer a few..

What would be the first thing to say if i met Rob out in the city?
Simply say “Flimdo!” it doesn’t make any sense at all but if you said it he would know you’ve read this and start a conversation with you right away!

If i invited Rob to Dinner what would he prefer we eat?
Anything with spice.. Well not too spicy. You don’t want any accidents. I remember this one time i made him my special curry and he let out an all mighty .... err well.. it wasn’t good so maybe just boil some chicken to be on the safe side!

What kinda music is Rob in to?
Rock mainly, you know ACDC, Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighters, that kinda thing. Altho i did catch him dancing to Britney spears one morning.. Of course he denies it but i have the Video evidence!

Can Rob read? If so what kinda stuff does he like?
well he says he can, personally i’ve never seen him read anything without big pictures in it.. well lets see, on his shelf he has ‘The Beach’, ‘On the Road’, ‘Life by Keith Richards’ and a bunch of Rolling stone magazines. Oh and the Ikea Catalogue thats slightly dog eared on the soft furnishings section.

If Rob and i went to the movies what kind of film might he suggest we see?
if its got a vampire, Some interesting camera angles, Jennifer Love chew-it all directed by Tarantino he’ll love it.. Altho he does have a thing for Ryan Reynolds.. But then again who doesn’t right!

Where can i meet Rob when he’s not on the Air?
He’s out most nights gigging in Dubai, well thats what he tells me.. On the weekends he’s down at the Music Room watching the bands. I’d go with him but he’s just too embarrassing!

Whats he like at home?
Pretty much the same as on the Air! No wait... he’s worse!

Whats the dumbest thing he’s ever done?
After he reads this he’ll answer ‘Getting me to write his bio’ ... Humm Dumbest thing? Probably when he met my mother.. I’d taught him this russian phrase to make him look somewhere near intelligent and he got it wrong.. instead of saying thank you for welcoming me into your home he somehow managed to call her a fish and then offered to clean her bathroom?... Still he did try, bless him..
