Sony award nominee Martin Metcalf has an extensive taste and knowlegde of all things audio. His rich musical tapestry spans the cross-cultural sound waves from classic Latin Jazz, Afro Beats, Funk, Soul, Rare Groove, Old Skool Hip Hop, to a particular penchant for Jazzy, Funky, vocal house and up front dance music.
Originally a native of the UK’s South Coast, Marty has presented on radio for more than two decades. Cutting his DJ teeth every Friday and Saturday evening for The Capital Radio group, serving up two specialist dance music shows from 6pm providing the UK with a weekly platter of funky ‘Dance Music’ tunes, news, competitions and reviews, boasting an audience from all over the world thanks to the unique presenting style and eclectic assortment of delicious and rare musical offerings.
On alternate weeks his shows were broadcast LIVE with Martin at the helm from a selection of nightclubs and bars with terrific success! His passion for music has taken him overseas many times, including, Miami, San Francisco, Italy, Ibiza, Bangkok, Australia, Greece, Russia, Spain, Japan, Hong Kong and now Dubai!!
